Prior to branching off and starting Mad at the World with current partner Asim, I did label in the mid to late 90's in New Jersey called Special Forces Records with Aaron Leonovich of the WRSU radio show Talk is Cheap (and before that, PA HC dude Phil Leone). One of the last records release on SFR while I was involved was the Purpose LP-- a great and criminally underappreciated NJHC band. Great musicians and interesting dudes, a few of these guys have gone on to other bands as well. This LP is one side of new songs, and a second side of their first 7" re-recorded, and an added bonus of Dave from Vision reading a selection from the Grapes of Wrath. They recently released a discography CD, which would include their first self released 7", the What's in Worth 7" on SFR, this LP, the follow up 7" on Underestimated and some other material. As I've been digging some stuff out of storage I found a few extra copies of this gem still good as new. If memory serves, this first came out around 1999.
